We love food and wine and to share this passion with our friends and guests.
In August 2016 we started our non-public livingroom restaurant called Sonntagsküche (Sunday kitchen) in Basel/Switzerland. There we serve once a month on a Saturday a “Sunday meal” to our friends and their guests. This is a three course meal including wine and other beverages for a flat fee of CHF 60.- (non-alcoholic CHF 50.-). The evening is kicked off with a short presentation around an aspect of Absinthe and a tasting from the Absinthe fountain. At a long table people from all walks of life meet: schoolchildren and pensioners, social workers and investment bankers, professors and craftsmen, life artists with mini-jobs and members of the C-suite, right wing politicians and left anarchists. What they all have in common is the joy of eating well in good company, a relaxed attitude towards the ups and downs of life, an interest in new and different things and the ability and will to enjoy the moment.
In addition, we organize closed events for six to 14 people at our home, e.g. birthday parties or team dinners, where we cook an individual menu according to the wishes of the organizers. The absinthe presentation or tasting can be held in German or English.
As these dinners are not open to the public we started in July 2018 this food blog to share our passion also with people outside our friends and families.
We hope you enjoy it and appreciate your feedback: you might leave a feedback after each blog, subscribe to our newsletter, get in touch with us via the contact form below or by sending an email to adrian(at)adrianschaub.com or sanneaeberhard(at)gmail.com
