Delicious autumn winter biscuits with Arabic spices
Ingredients
- 800g flour
- 80g or one packet baking powder
- 80g cane sugar
- 200g candied orange peel,
- 100g dried apricots
- 100g cranberries
- 100 figs
- 100g dates
- 100g cashew nuts and almonds
- 500g orange blossom honey
- Season with maccis (nutmeg blossom), ginger, cinnamon and cardamom.
- 2dl fleur d'oranger
- 5cl Cointreau
Instructions
- Chop coarsely the candied orange peel, dried apricots, cranberries, figs, dates, cashew nuts, almonds and put everything together on the work place.
- Add the flour, the packet baking powder and the cane sugar
- Heat the orangeblossom honey in a pan and season it with maccis (nutmeg blossom), ginger, cinnamon and cardamom.
- Allow to cool and add lukewarm to the mixture.
- Add 2dl Fleur d'Oranger and 5ml Cointreau and knead the dough well
- Press the dough flat with your hand and cut into strips about 2cm wide.
- Bake at 220 degrees circulating air for 15-18 minutes.
- While cooling, pour a little Fleur d'Oranger over it again.
