A long time favourite appetizer at our place
Ingredients
- approx. 270 g puff pastry rectangularly rolled out
- approx. 150 g sliced smoked ham
Instructions
- roll out approx. 270g rectangular puff pastry to approx. 24x40 cm
- cover with approx. 150g smoked ham (cut away the fat to taste)
- Roll the pastry over short side and cut into 20 pieces of approx. 1 cm thick slices.
- Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper, brush generously with water and bake for approx. 25 minutes at 200 degrees at circular air (or use the baking mode of a steamer at 200 degrees for approx. 25 minutes.
A nice alternative is to roll up puff the pastry from both sides, this results in what we call "Prussiens"
